About Roger Reece Seminars

We offer practical, fun and effective training workshops designed to enhance the value of your organization. Our workshops focus on interpersonal skills, teamwork and productivity. We do not offer public seminars or canned training classes, because we believe that the needs of every organization are different. Our workshops are conducted at your facility or at an offsite location, and they are customized to meet the specific needs of your group.

All of our workshops are conducted by Roger Reece, not by contract trainers. This ensures that you will receive consistent, high-quality training that will result in behavioral changes in the members of your group. Our clients include IBM, Boeing, DuPont, General Electric, Circuit City, Johnson & Johnson, AT&T, ExxonMobil, and businesses & organizations in every industry (see client list at the bottom of this page).

About Roger Reece

Roger Reece designs and conducts all of our training workshops. He is a motivational speaker, trainer, executive coach and management consultant. Roger holds an MBA from Emory University and has over 35 years of business management experience.

As a corporate vice president, Roger observed that communication and teamwork were the keys to achieving organizational goals, and his primary objective in founding Roger Reece Seminars in 1999 was to help organizations to develop those keys. Roger's workshops are fast-paced, fun, stimulating and highly interactive. He conducts over 100 workshops each year, and the vast majority of those workshops include DISC assessments.

Roger's first question to prospective clients is "What are the behavioral changes you would like to see from the members of your team as a result of this workshop?" His focus is on self-observation, self-management and behavioral change. DISC assessments are an effective tool in helping workshop participants to see that changes in their behavior can bring about tremendous changes in others. His workshops have proven to be a significant wake-up call for thousands of managers, supervisors and employees, who have discovered new insights resulting in lasting personal change. Through personal stories, solid principles and a powerful sense of presence, Roger connects with workshop participants to help them see their goals, roles and behavior in a new light. "If after this session you go back to business as usual, we will have wasted our time together. This is about you changing your behavior from today forward."

Roger's Alter-Ego

Training can be fun, and the most effective learning experiences come from a fun and creative training environment. Roger Reece understands this, and his sense of humor is always evident in his workshops. For clients who want to add an extra measure of fun to their workshop, Roger offers the assistance of his alter-ego, Buford P. Fuddwhacker.

"My dad was a farm boy from Indiana, and he was the inspiration that gave birth to Buford Fuddwhacker." Buford is an over-the-top, wild & crazy, down-home motivational speaker who often opens and closes Roger's workshops. Buford is about suspending judgment, letting your hair down and just having fun. His segments are approximately 20 minutes in length, and they serve to elevate the energy level in the room with laughter, outrageous audience participation, and good old country humor. If Buford's motivational training seems irrelevant, Roger brings it home later in the program as he quotes Buford and outlines the underlying truths of his entertaining message. There's no extra charge for Buford Fuddwhacker, and we highly recommend including him on your workshop agenda.
